Lewdown, Okehampton, Devon EX20 4PN
Lewtrenchard Manor Web site

Occupying an attractive Jacobean country manor, the charming Lewtrenchard Manor in Okehampton was added to by Sabine Baring Gould, a Victorian hymn writer. The well-preserved period details of the hotel are perhaps its most endearing featuring, with high ceilings, oak panelling, mullion windows and stained glass combining to present an excellent example of architecture. Guest rooms are as equally attractive as other parts of the hotel and feature vistas of the pretty gardens. From the manor, guests can access Exeter by car in around 30 minutes.
