The Melia White House was originally built in 1936 as luxury apartments and has an unusual star shape with 5 wings in the art-deco style. Having survived the war because its shape was a good landmark. The Melia White House is situated next to the green acres of Regent's Park, home of London Zoo and open air theatre, and is an ideal base for Paddington mainline station with the Heathrow Express and Warren Street and Great Portland Street underground stations are nearby and a short stroll will take you to the internationally famous shopping paradise of Oxford Street and Regent Street or the avant garde Covent Garden area.
